TWT AEO Ultimate – Terms of Use

Plugin: TWT AEO Ultimate  |  Version: 2.1.1  |  Publisher: Tampa Web Technologies

Effective date: June 1, 2026  |  Contact: david@tampawebtech.com

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your installation and use of the TWT AEO Ultimate WordPress plugin (the “Plugin”), the optional TWT Agency dashboard service, and the optional Token Telemetry feature (TWT Agency and Token Telemetry together, the “Data Services”), all provided by Tampa Web Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing, activating, or using the Plugin, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Plugin.

2. License

The Plugin is free, open-source software licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL-2.0+). You may use, modify, and redistribute the Plugin’s code under the terms of that license. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the GPL with respect to the Plugin’s source code.

These Terms additionally govern your use of the optional Data Services and any hosted endpoints we operate, which are not part of the GPL-licensed code and remain our property.

3. What the Plugin does

The Plugin helps optimize your WordPress site for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): it scans content, manages schema markup, and offers optional features that connect to external services. The optional, opt-in features and the data they transmit are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Your site and data. You are responsible for your WordPress installation, the content you create, and any data the Plugin stores on your server, including backups.
  • API keys. If you supply third-party API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Bing, etc.), you are responsible for keeping them secure, for all usage and charges incurred under them, and for complying with each provider’s terms.
  • Lawful use. You agree to use the Plugin in compliance with all applicable laws, including data-protection laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) governing your site’s visitors and any data you choose to transmit through optional features.
  • Generated content. You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and approving any AI-generated content before you publish it. You own and are accountable for what you publish.

5. Third-party services

Optional features route data to third-party services that you choose to connect — AI providers, Google, Bing, and press-release wire services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, pricing, or handling of your data. Your use of each is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

6. Data Services: TWT Agency and Token Telemetry

Two optional, opt-in Data Services transmit information off your site. Exactly what each one sends is itemized in our Privacy Policy; the terms governing your use of them are below.

6.1 TWT Agency (dashboard sync)

TWT Agency is our hosted agency dashboard. It is active only when you enable the connection and enter a TWT Agency API key and Dashboard URL in Settings → TWT Agency. When connected, the Plugin transmits your site’s AEO, schema, AI-crawler, analytics, and content-activity data to the Dashboard URL you configure, authenticated by your API key. You are responsible for keeping that key confidential and for all activity under your account. If you subscribe to a paid TWT Agency plan, the pricing, billing, and cancellation terms presented to you at purchase apply. We may modify TWT Agency features over time, and may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or for use that violates these Terms. You may disconnect at any time in Settings, which immediately stops transmission.

6.2 Token Telemetry

Token Telemetry is an optional, off-by-default feature. When enabled, it sends anonymous AI token-usage counts — the provider name, model slug, plugin version, and token counts only, with no content, URLs, titles, API keys, or visitor data — to Tampa Web Technologies each time the Content Generator makes an AI API call. We use this aggregate data to understand usage and improve the Plugin. By leaving Token Telemetry enabled you consent to this anonymous transmission; you may disable it at any time in Settings.

7. No guarantee of results

AEO and search visibility depend on factors outside our control, including the policies and algorithms of search engines and AI platforms. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, citation, traffic, indexing outcome, or business result from using the Plugin.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE PLUGIN AND DATA SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Plugin will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every theme, plugin, or hosting environment. This disclaimer is consistent with the GPL under which the Plugin is distributed.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAMPA WEB TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLUGIN OR DATA SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the Data Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tampa Web Technologies from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Plugin, your content, your handling of visitor or third-party data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Changes to the Plugin and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the Plugin or Data Services at any time. We may revise these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Plugin at any time by deactivating and deleting it. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Data Services if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hillsborough County (Tampa), Florida.
